Entrepreneur Jiří Ježek has been investing in Bondster secured loans market since August 2017. The main reason for choosing Bondster was the fact that the bank, where he used to have his insured deposits only up to the value of 100,000 euros (2.56 million crowns), offered him very poor 1 % interest on his deposit. So he was looking for some alternatives for his cash.
“Bonster impressed me mainly with its reasonable ratio of yield and risk and its low volatility. Since I wanted my money to make more money, I simply couldn't keep it in the bank. I was quite surprised that the bank was unable to offer me better interest than just one percent. That is why I have decided that I want yield at least as good as the banks offer for consumer credits, ie about 7-8 %. Since I didn't want to invest money in any stocks or bonds, Bondster was the only reasonable alternative for me, ”says Mr Jezek.
Mr Jezek keeps investing several million of Czech crowns in Bonster market. For his investments he chooses mainly czech loans secured by real estate. In 2018 his Bondster’s investments have made him 7 % profit.
“I am very happy with Bondster's revenues. Now I am tempted by higher interests of euro investments, that Bondster had recently worked hard on. These can make even 12-13% profit. That is why I am thinking of expanding my portfolio with euro loans too. Currently, due to the company‘s stable growth, we have a surplus of cash and it would be a shame to lose on these revenues” concludes Jiří Ježek

"The company Bondster Marketplace is based in Prague 8, and of course I was interested in their way of doing business and what services they can actually offer to their clients. It’s a young progressive company searching for market niches and trying to give the clients a bit more from the usual bank‘s offer. It is a pioneer in relatively new P2P lending industry, connecting the investors with the companies in their need of resources for a development. This way is Bondster challenging the whole conservative banking sector and becoming a sort of young pike in the financial sector – the so-called FinTech.
What I like about Bondster is that I can choose that company I want to lend and easily diversify the risks at the same time. There is a lot of talk about the outflow of capital from the Czech Republic. Yes, if you invest in some unit trust or foreign companies' shares, you basically support these multinational corporations. When it comes to the principle of P2P loans, I am pleased that with my investments I support Czech companies. I select them according to their history, ratings, their investment plan and the hedging strategy. The interest paid on a regular basis is nowadays more than a good appreciation of my savings. "
